Carlos Humberto Santana Barragán[1] (Spanish:[ˈkaɾlosumˈbeɾtosanˈtanaβaraˈɣan]ⓘ; born July 20, 1947) is an American guitarist, best known as a founding member of the rock band Santana. Born and raised in Mexico where he developed his musical background, he rose to fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the United States with Santana, which pioneered a fusion of rock and roll and Latin American jazz. Its sound featured his melodic, blues-based lines set against Latin American and African rhythms played on percussion instruments not generally heard in rock, such as timbales and congas. He experienced a resurgence of popularity and critical acclaim in the late 1990s.

‘Carlos: The Santana Journey Global Premiere’ Coming to Select Theaters Ahead of September Release (Film News in Brief)
Sony Picture Classics and Trafalgar Releasing announced that “Carlos: The Santana Journey Global Premiere” will be playing in select theaters worldwide on Sept. 23, 24 and 27.
These special premiere screenings will include showings of the feature length documentary “Carlos,” about the life of the legendary guitarist Carlos Santana, and also feature exclusive introductory content featuring Santana and director Ruby Valdez. “Carlos” debuted earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival and will have a general theatrical release on Sept. 29. The film was financed by Sony Music Entertainment and Imagine Documentaries.
“Carlos” includes interviews with Santana and his family, archival footage, concert footage, Santana’s home videos, and behind-the-scenes footage. Interviews with industry icons like Clive Davis and Rob Thomas will also be featured.

You might want to check out Ian Carr's biography of Miles Davis. Ian Carr is a highly respected UK jazz musician whose book was thoroughly researched. He mentions Miles' bisexuality in it. Face it, he liked the dick and the pussy.
Read it years ago. Ian Carr was very vague about this area (and rightly so, as it's hardly the most important aspect of the man). I've read most of the Miles books there have been over the years. To my knowledge, none of them have specifically named any man Miles may have been involved with, or any specific incident of homo/ bisexuality. Though, if Miles was bisexual (and had a problem with it), it may at least partially explain his attitude towards women and some other aspects of his personality, such as his anger issues. One things' for sure, he was a complex and often troubled man.
