Beyonce unauthorized biography

Becoming Beyoncé, the new unauthorized biography by J. Randy Taraborrelli, was so shrouded in secrecy before today, its release date, that I had to sign a nondisclosure agreement in order to obtain an advance copy. When it arrived in the mail, I was expecting something soap-operatic, something that might cause my brain to explode into confetti, much like the final two minutes of Empire.

Of course, I knew it was unauthorized—Beyoncé nor Jay Z, her parents, Solange, or close friends like Kelly Rowland or Michelle Williams participated—so my baseline was to read it skeptically.
