Lyndon Rive Biography
Lyndon Rive is the chief executive officer of SolarCity. SolarCity focuses on offering green energy and solar systems. SolarCity primarily offers solar panel installation for residential properties. However, the company also designs its own systems and creates power charging stations for electric vehicles. Rive co-founded the company in 2006 alongside his brother Peter. Before working on SolarCity, Rive worked at Everdream, a tech company which he also co-founded. Everdream was eventually acquired by Dell. In addition to his work on green technology, Rive also enjoys playing sports such as underwater hockey. He is the cousin of Telsa founder Elon Musk.

Lyndon Rive (born 22 January 1977) is a South African born businessman known as the co-founder of SolarCity, and its CEO until 2016. SolarCity is a provider of photovoltaic systems and related services. Rive co-founded SolarCity with his brother Peter in 2006.
Rive started his first company at age 17 before leaving his native South Africa. He then co-founded the enterprise software company Everdream, which was ultimately acquired by Dell. In his spare time, Rive plays underwater hockey. Rive is a cousin of Elon Musk as their mothers are twin sisters.
