Jamesetta Hawkins (January 25, 1938 – January 27, 2012), known professionally as Etta James, was an American singer and songwriter. Starting her career in 1954, James frequently performed in Nashville's famed R&B clubs, collectively known as the Chitlin' Circuit, in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1970s.[1] She sang in various genres, including gospel, blues, jazz, R&B, rock and roll, and soul, and gained fame with hits such as "The Wallflower" (1957), "At Last" (1960), "Something's Got a Hold on Me" (1962), "Tell Mama", and "I'd Rather Go Blind" (both 1977).[2] She faced a number of personal problems, including heroin addiction, severe physical abuse, and incarceration, before making a musical comeback in the late 1980s with the album Seven Year Itch (1988).[3]

Faruq Mahfuz Anam James (born 2 October 1964), known mononymously as James, is a Bangladeshi singer-songwriter, guitarist and composer, also known as a playback singer. He is the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the rock band Nagar Baul (previously Feelings). He is often referred by the name "Guru"[2] which means "master" or "teacher".
James was born and raised in Naogaon, but grew up in Chittagong city. James rose to mainstream fame in the 1970s as the frontman of Feelings, which is one of the "Big Three of Rock", who were responsible for developing and popularizing hard rock music in Bangladesh, along with LRB and Ark. Feelings is considered to be the pioneer of psychedelic rock in Bangladesh.

Biography
Folk singer-songwriter Graeme James didn’t decide on a life in music until it seemed his very existence depended on artistic gifts. In 2012, circumstances outside his control essentialized his life and he found himself sleeping in his car and busking by day to get by. There and then he made the fateful decision to leap into the unknown and pursue a life as a professional musician.
Rooted in folk’s rich storytelling and musical traditions, Graeme James furthers this lineage with an imaginative textural approach in which he carefully crafts multi-instrumental soundscapes. His dynamically layered compositions feature him playing electric violin, guitar, bass, banjo, baritone ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, piano and percussion. He produces his own albums, and he faithfully recreates his textural tunes live in real time with a loop pedal. Now, four albums and 40 million streams later the New Zealand artist is firmly entrenched in this life path.
