The man, the myth, the corduroy blazer. Who is he really, the brains behind the Lenin Award? Numerous articles in newspapers and magazines have been written about this communist entrepreneur over the years, but here I will try to keep it short when I tell a little about Lasse and his doings. Some describe Lasse as a provocateur and, of course, several of his projects have created some controversy. Someone might also see it as exaggerations to try to give his child the name Brfxxccxxmnpccccllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 in protest against the Swedish naming law or to go to court to stop a bread-stealing municipal politician? Furthermore, is it perhaps a bit presumptuous to publish ones collected Facebook posts in book form? I leave it up to You to decide for yourself.

The 2024 Lenin Award
Welcome to participate in the 2024 award ceremony for Jan Myrdal's big prize – the Lenin Award and Jan Myrdal's small prize – the Robespierre Prize and the subsequent festivities! The awards will be given out by Lasse Diding at Varberg Theatre on Saturday 9 November at 13:00. There’s free entrance to the award ceremony and everyone is welcome!
The award ceremony will include a speech to Martin Hägglund by 2023 Lenin Award laureate Karl Ove Knausgård and music by Jonsereds Proggorkester led by Bosse Stenholm with guest artist Maria Stellas. The day will end with a big party at Gästis Kafé & Matsalar in Varberg. See the full program below.

Saturday: Single room 1250 SEK + party 450 SEK, in double room 950 SEK pp + party 450 SEK pp.
Friday: Single room 1250 SEK, in double room 950 SEK pp.
