Pascal Michel Obispo (born 8 January 1965 in Bergerac, Dordogne, France) is a French singer/songwriter.
Pascal Obispo started singing in 1980. He got his first record deal in 1990, Le long du fleuve. With his second album, Plus que tout au monde, selling over 2 million albums, his songs became a popular success. Some of his most famous songs are "Plus que tout au monde", "Laurelenn", "Tombé pour elle", "L'important c'est d'aimer", "Personne" and "Fan". French singer-songwriter, one of the most honored and popular in France. Although his songs have been recorded by such French recording sensations as Marc Lavoine and Florent Pagny, his own intimate and edgy interpretations are considered definitive and have captured the popular imagination. He made his earliest musical attempts after settling in Brittany. He played in a group for a time, but hit his stride as a solo artist when his gold-certified debut recording, "Plus Que Tout au Monde" (More Than Anything In The World), garnered him a strong fan base and excellent notices. His next two studio albums, "Un Jour Comme Aujourdhui" (A Day Like Today) and "Superflu" (Superfluous) achieved platinum status and were followed by a sensational double-CD concert recording and video, "Obispo Live." In 2023, he recorded a duet with Italian singer Giordana Angi and released his 12th album.
