Cena, whose real name is John Felix Anthony Cena, is an American professional wrestler, actor, television host, and former rapper who is presently signed to the WWE. He is widely recognised as one of the best professional wrestlers of all time, and he shares the record for most world championship reigns with Ric Flair. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1999 when he debuted for Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW). He was assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 2001. (OVW). After assuming the persona of a trash-talking rapper, he rose to prominence in the WWE. In 2004, he won his first singles championship, the United States Championship. He won the WWE Championship for the first time the following year, and his character evolved into a clean-cut "Superman-like" hero. He was the company's franchise player and public face for the next decade.

In WWE, Cena has won 17 championships in total, including 10 World Titles (having won the WWE Championship a record tying eight times and the World Heavyweight Championship twice). In addition, Cena has also won the WWE United States Championship three times, and is a four-time Tag Team Champion, having held the World Tag Team Championship twice (once each with Shawn Michaels, and Batista), and the WWE Tag Team Championship twice (once each with David Otunga and The Miz). Cena also won the 2008 Royal Rumble match, and is a two-time Superstar of the Year Slammy Award winner (2009 and 2010).
